I am posting this review under my son's account. Our son called this morning from Mt. snow's parking lot with what apparently was a brake issue with his car. We live in Western Mass. which is almost 2 hours away. Of course the brakes needed to be checked. I got on the phone and called 3 local shops and understandingly they were busy and could not even look at the car. Then I spoke with Michael from Local Motorcar Services who said he could not promise to fix it today, but he could take a few minutes and see if it was a quick fix or if it could be driven safely home to our house.
- After going to a dealership 1 month later from a 60 mph shaking steering wheel, they informed me two wheels were out of balance. They rebalanced them for me.
- One of my wheels is bent (informed by dealership). I wasn't informed by LMS.
- Tires were not properly inflated (low air pressure) after new tires were mounted.
+ Radiator hose fixed.
I sent my son to Local Motorcar Servives and Michael was true to his word. He took the car in checked it and advised us that the caliper was stuck and needed replacing. Napa which is next door had the part and it was fixed. It only took about 45 minutes too!
- Auto shop broke my lug nut key, I payed to replace it.
- High price for standard service.
Went in for a radiator hose replacement, new tires, mount and balance, and alignment.
+ Carl is full of energy and very nice. The man that last checked my car was also nice and explained how they did the alignment.
We could not be happier with Michael and Local Motorcar! Michael went above and beyond our expectations! Highly recommended would be an understatement! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Eric Lottermoser
