Beautiful place, people mind their business and are generally friendly. The cliff area is where the gays usually go.
The Ledges is a free beach, meaning free entry and free to be nude. Park, walk along the coast past the regular beach and picnic tables, follow the path in the woods for about five minutes, and you'll see the sign where nudity is allowed. Beautiful beach, very friendly people. On a warm summer weekend day you might see over 300 people! Mind your manners though - this is a nude beach not a sex beach; Inappropriate conduct will be reported to the police.
Great group of people, that love the lake, love nature, take special care of the lake, and a great sense of community and conversations, with many group activities that everyone is welcome to participate in (pot luck dinners and such).
Beautiful place, the lake is amazing, truly beautiful place. I just wish there weren't so many loud high school/college age girls prancing around and giggling trying to get everyone's attention the whole time. We get it, you're topless! Naked! Everyone's naked! Big deal! It gets kind of annoying when I just want peace and quiet so I can read my book, but whatever, still a great place.
My husband and I were absolutely blown away by the beauty of this place. It felt like I was on a magickal journey throught the forest to get there. The beach was breathtakingly beautiful. Walking through the woods was awesome. Surprisingly, the place was almost deserted that day(BONUS). We definitely plan on making an annual trip out of it.
